I've been studying character designs for my own stuff lately, and so Chrono Trigger comes up, friggin awesome designs! Toriyama-sensei plays with size and shape and color sooooo well. And I've been listening to Yasunori Mitsuda stuff while I've been working on this, so woo!

Anyhoo, this is THE bestest game ever made.

I tried playing with the lighting again. All the colors are on one layer (i donno, just don't seem to like coloring on a bunch of layers...). Hope you guys enjoy!

EDIT: Alrighty, anyone with some dream to write some stuff for another Chrono Trig sequel and wouldn't mind sharing it, I'm gonna see if I can make some art for it. Like new character designs, situations, etc. Just check out my journal entry for more info about it, and leave the idea in the comments there and I'll see what I can do, thanks!

again, very very well done. i love your colorspreads. the guy tuning the cart just cracks me up, and that dude on the cart at the very far back: isn't he too big to be holding the steering wheel? XD

glad to see someone who still acknowledges the greatness that is akira toriyama. a lot of people these days just go "ew, dragonball" without realizing that it's the series that starts the shonen revolution, and that at some time in the past, they like it too.

This looks insanely awesome! You've done well in mimicking the look of some of Toriyama's CT scenes with your lighting and color choices.

Also great to see so many characters in this. LOL, Chrono's gals all have such a crazed look on their faces. Excellent work! :thumbsup:8-)

Thanks! I didn't plan for the light to be like that, but I threw down the base color, and it sorta just ended up the way it is, ahaha...
